There are plenty of apps that make collaboration a lot easier — at least once you’ve figured out what your actual project is going to be. But if you’re still in the kicking-around-ideas stage of planning your organization you could probably do with a specialized tool. The Idea Startup fulfills that need by offering collaborative tools geared specifically towards planning a startup. It has built-in features for sharing ideas during the business plan development phase, pulling together financial projections and sharing information in real time.

MIT $100k Letter of Recommendation

The IdeaStartup provided the MIT $100K Business Plan Competition with all of our submission and judging infrastructure. Their core platform also allowed us to provide important resources to contestants and further the mission of the contest.

Across three contest, six rounds of submissions, 450 entries and over 2,000 pages of business plans, we used The IdeaStartup to provide the submission interface for contestants; validate that the length and formatting of entries complied with contest rules; assemble the judging packets; and host the entries for download by judges. For the first time, we avoided emailing massive files to each judge. The whole platform cut our submission turnaround time by 75%.
